The K3 icon set is a functional extension of the wider shape and Signal system.

All K3 icons are built from the same underlying geometry as the K3 mark and shape system, with the Signal Point detail, ensuring they feel integrated, distinctive and unmistakably K3.

Icons are functional system elements. Consistency matters more than variation.

All K3 icons are:

  • Have sharp angles (zero corner radius)
  • Designed on a consistent grid to ensure uniform weight and alignment
  • Are in three or four solid colour combos – from K3 core and Signal Focus palettes
  • Constructed using 45-degree geometry

New icons must be designed within the K3 system and reviewed before use.

Using icons – the rules

Do

  • Use only K3-designed icons

  • Scale icons relatively when used together
  • Align icons precisely when used in rows, lists or grids
  • Allow sufficient clear space around icons

Don’t

  • Use third-party, stock or off-the-shelf icon styles

  • Round corners, soften edges or introduce strokes
  • Distort, skew or freeform-modify icons
  • Apply shadows, glows or effects
  • Introduce colours outside the K3 palette, use gradients or the K3 Blend
  • Use icons as transparency or watermarks
  • Change proportions or redraw icons inconsistently
  • Place icons inside K3 shapes
  • Place icons on dark backgrounds unless sufficient contrast
  • Place icons touching text or other graphic elements
